MBTCO Mission

Welcome to the Miniature Bull Terrier Club of Ontario web site. The Club is fully accredited by the Canadian Kennel Club as the official Miniature Bull Terrier Breed Club for the province of Ontario. The club was organized to promote our mini bully breed and share the common interest of members from the pet , rescue and show aspects of our fancy. Our mandate is to grow the Miniature Bull Terrier Breed. We believe this growth must include support activities for all Miniature Bull Terrier fanciers. On this site it is our objective to keep you informed of our schedule of meetings and activities. You are always welcome as a guest at any time. Join us. There are so many ways for you to enjoy you Miniature Bull Terrier and become a responsible owner. We can help you with training. We have members with many years of MBT experience that can help you. We have several professional trainers and handlers with knowledge of the handling classes in our area.

We are a club that “is all about the dog”. We encourage you to visit this site regularly for updates. We encourage you to join our club so that you can receive Reports, Announcements and Minutes of our meetings & gatherings.

Executive Message

The next meeting of the the MBTCO will be held at the Annual Canada Day Rescue Walk and BBQ on July 2, 2017. The walk will be held at the Allanburg Community Centre. Registration will begin at noon.

CONGRATULATIONS to Catherine and Daisy Rose of Bully Lake on finishing 2016 as the top Miniature Bull Terrier in Canada. The MBTCO 2017 Show scene has started our well in 2017 with our Sanction Match at the Ontario Breeders judged by Colin Brownlee drawing a good entry. Mike & Julie, Catharine and Carol Gray are all off to a great start in the show ring in 2017. Also be aware of our MBT Specioalty on Saturday August 13th at the Kilbride Show with Australian Judge Andrew Brown.

Rescue News

Sadie, Annie, Rufio, Zoe, Bojangles, Clifford, Magnus, Mira, Bogart, Josie, Brook, Kora, Piper, Heidi, Bullet and Don have been adopted over the last year!

The annual MBTCO Rescue Walk and Picnic in July was again a great success…..raising over $600 for our Minis in need fund. The walk itself was held along the scenic Welland Canal at Lock 7 and was enjoyed by the 11 minis and 4 guests that made the hike in almost 90 degree weather. It was a delight to return to the air conditioned comfort of the Allanburg Center. The pot luck picnic spread was enjoyed by all something for everyone with lots of cookies, treats & water for both the two & four pawed walkers. President Karolina and Rescue Co-Chairs Barb & Carol welcomed about thirty members and their guests.

Show News

The 2017 Show season with big wins for MBTCO Members. Catherine at Essex went out west and Jack had several Group placements leading him to be the Number one Mini in Canada. Mike & Julie at Jewel had Group placements at Guelph and Victoria. The Thunderally puppies are all out showing. Norman (Thunderally’s Stormin Norman} had four Best Baby Puppy in Group placements. Eli (Thunderally’s Putn on the Ritz) and Rizzo (Thunderally’s Poker Face) both were Best Puppy in Group at Guelph. Exciting weekend May 6 & 7 -> Norman was Best of Breed on Friday (2 points) and Best Puppy in Group. Eli was Best Puppy in Group on Saturday. Rizzo was Best in Breed on Sunday (3 points) and Group 4. He is now #3 MBT in Canada
